In 2009, DCERT, through a partnership with the Dodge County Sheriff's Department, formed a Traffic Incident Management (TIM) unit. The primary purpose of this partnership is to provide a safer work zone for emergency responders at incident scenes. A secondary service provided by the TIM unit is safety patrol on area county, state and federal highways. We are pleased to be able to offer this service to our community.

In the fall of 2009, a former rescue truck was located for sale at the Whiting Fire Department near Stevens Point.  The purchase of the truck by DCERT was made possible with the use of donated funds raised by hours of volunteered time working area community events.  In turn, DCERT has donated the truck to Dodge County and will staff the vehicle as needed per our Memorandum of Understanding.

During the winter and spring months of 2010 the truck's old Whiting Rescue 54 graphics were removed and replaced with new DCERT markings. This work was accomplished through the volunteer efforts of DCERT members and the generous donation of working space by Ptachinski Construction of Beaver Dam.  New LED lighting was also added, which will increase visibility to motorists.  This new lighting  improves safety for responders and the motoring public.  Thank you to all who have donated their time and supplies to our effort.
